In 2002, the founding team of the highly successful A-Plus Manufacturing established Alpha EMS. A-Plus had been a prominent player in Silicon Valley before being acquired by C-MAC Microcircuits Ltd and then quickly by Solectron as the market surged between 1999 and 2000. Many key team members successfully navigated these corporate transitions but ultimately chose to refocus on customer service and manufacturing, leading to the creation of Alpha EMS.
Alpha EMS harkens back to an era where honoring commitments and valuing relationships were of utmost importance. We collaborate closely with our customers to transform their designs into volume products. Our support extends throughout the entire product lifecycle, ensuring our customers meet their own customers’ expectations.
In 2024, Wistron Corporation acquired Alpha EMS, recognizing its expertise in manufacturing high-quality, complex products for the domestic market. As a global leader in AI, 5G, IoT, metaverse applications, electric vehicles, and Industry 4.0 automation, Wistron has invested millions of dollars to upgrade IT infrastructure, equipment, and quality automation at Alpha EMS’s new 126,000 sq. ft., ISO 8 particle controlled, Fremont, CA facility. This acquisition and investment highlight Wistron‘s commitment to driving technological innovation and maintaining its leadership in the tech industry.
In 2025, Alpha EMS was renamed to WisLab EMS Corporation to reflect the Wistron brand.
